The shorts seem like great quality; the reason I gave only 4 stars is because of sizing. This is actually the first time (in my entire life!) that my measurements have fit exactly within one size. So I was excited to know exactly which size to order and be confident that it would fit! However, when I tried on the 3x, the legs fit great but the waist was actually about 2" too big. The whole rise area was baggy and sliding down a bit, and I was afraid it would be even worse when wet. I returned them for the 2x, which is slightly tighter than I prefer on the legs but fits perfectly in the waist.

I got these for wearing under some swim dresses that came without an attached panty. I wanted something a little longer than a swim brief as I like to stay covered while swimming and am uncomfortable in swim briefs or shorts that shift upwards when you move. These work great! They provide the coverage I was looking for, work under swim dresses and don't shift around too much when wet. I took one star off because I would prefer more of an attached panty style to them but that might just be my preference. They have a little triangle area that is considered the panty part but it is just part of the crotch area so to me, it feels like you are wearing a pair of close fitting long shorts without underwear on.

I purchased these with the intent to wear them at an amusement park (along with my trusty Adele top), so it would be no big deal if I got wet. I'm very happy with them! I wore them over a pair of regular bikini bottoms and was originally nervous they might be a little sheer, but they worked great. When I first put them on, the fit was a little long in the crotch area, but they adjusted well and I had no issues with fit/chafing. They dried very quickly after I was doused on the log ride! I look forward to having them around for kayaking and similar activities.

Took over a month to arrive just like the tunic. I was given no real reasoning why except that it was due to Covid, but no other items from to states have taken even remotely that long. It was a pre-order so I expected a bit longer of a wait, it was shipped in the time it said it would which was about a week from the time I ordered... but then took another 4 WEEKS to arrive. Keep this in mind when you order. There was no other explanation, so this is the just reality of ordering with this company. You won't get it when you expect, or expect it to take about a month and order with caution. ALSO, IT'S TOO BIG!!! I don't dare wait another 2 months.... honestly I'll try and fix it on my own. I have another piece from them that 1x and it's pretty tight. These 1x are too. big and falling down...

The material

The material, color, and length for the shorts are fabulous. Owing to a slightly different body shape, the material around the thigh and above the knee fits perfectly, but the waist is very loose. Having the option to tighten the material around the waist without going down a size would be awesome. Drawstrings have been used and I would embrace this option, but I would also love to see if designers came up with a new way to make garments fit individual body shapes.

The shape of these shorts leads to issues with bunching and pulling in the crotch. Otherwise the size is perfect, but perhaps slightly too big for me. Other styles of exercise/swim shorts have much better crotch design with a better placed triangle panel to help remove bunching and gathering. They are also advertised as having a "slimming" waist but it's more like minimal slimming and a piece of elastic. Moving on to workout shorts for my swimsuit bottoms.

These aren’t really “swim shorts”. They are made out of swimsuit material but it is single layer and there is NO lining. I wore them swimming but had to wear bikini bottoms under them. That made them want to slide down. When you really want a suit that has better coverage, it needs to be more high waisted so you aren’t constantly having to hike them up. These say high waisted but were definitely not. The concept is great, the execution not so much

This order has been a nightmare since I placed it in July 2020. I made at least five calls to customer service to try to resolve out of stocks and request partial shipments, with time spent on hold it was well over three hours of my time. Not a single one of my requests were honored as promised to me by customer service. I still don’t have my entire order and it is December 2020 - SIX MONTHS AFTER MY ORDER WAS PLACED. After so much stress and time put in calling customer service, I received my first and very delayed shipment of swimwear to find the fabric quality is not what I expected, the cuts not flattering, and the colors and prints do not match those represented on the website. In fact, I have paid for these pants and not even received them yet. DO NOT ORDER from this company, the positive reviews are significantly misleading.
